BLS
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This hands-on course teaches the latest CPR techniques using the American Heart Association’s® 2020 guidelines for adults, children, and infants. Our experienced instructors will discuss and review scenarios for emergency response and CPR in both in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
The intended audience for this class includes providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician’s assistants, medical or nursing students in training, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel.

ACLS Provider
Providers will enhance their skills in treating adult victims of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. This course emphasizes the:
- importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival
- integration of effective basic life support with ACLS interventions
- importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation
Please be aware that the ACLS courses have a Required pre-course assessment prior to coming to class. You MUST Score a 70%. This can be done as many times as you like. There are no limits on attempts.

**The 2020 Advanced Cardiac Life Support manual is required for this course. You may choose to purchase this through our website by clicking on the box to the right of the registration. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will receive an AHA ACLS Course Completion eCard valid for two years. Your eCard will be issued the next business day and if you have not received it within 48 hours please call or email the office.
PALS
The PALS course gives healthcare professionals the knowledge and skills to better recognize and treat critically ill infants and children.
The course uses a scenario-based, team approach to teach pediatric emergency management of pediatric patients approaching or already in respiratory or cardiac arrest. The course covers treatment beyond the first few emergency minutes and goes through stabilizing patients or transport phases of a pediatric emergency, in or out of the hospital.

**The 2020 Pediatric Advanced Life Support book is required for this course.
Certifications are good for two years.

10. Successfully be monitored teaching your first AHA course. Training Center Coordinator can require additional monitoring based on the result given by Training Center Faculty.
11. Re-certify every 2 years. The AHA requires that you teach 4 classes within that 2 years and be monitored during one of those classes in order to re-certify. You will also be required to perform the skills of CPR and take the written exam to prove you still can practice what you preach.
